Not the original game, but still great fun for an RTS 4
If you like RTS games, then this should be on your wish list. Although game play is a little bit less complex than the original, it is still alot of fun.

Great Product 5
The game is great. there isnt as many types of units as the first one but u can upgrade them to do different things. The game require steam in order to play

Do not purchase this game or anything from Square Enix 1
I purchase this game few days ago thinking my kid would have some fun during the holidays. If there is game publisher from hell I think square enix would qualify as one. Along together with Valve.

First of all, I tried to install it on a windows XP pc, and the game wouldn't start... I tried contacting Steam and Square Enix support but there was no reply. I then tried to install on a Alienware M11X running Windows 7, this time steam would not even start, it kept stuck at steam update 0% and then die. Again, no reply from Square enix.

I then tried to install it on A windows Vista machine my wife had, again, was able to install steam but then again, game refuse to start.

Considering the level of poor support and the fact that the game didn't work, I would strongly advice against buying this game.

Eh.... 3
The game certainly doesn't deserve '1 out 5 star' reviews, but it doesn't deserve '5 out 5' ether.

This game was a bit of a let down to be honest the first one is soooo much better. I bought this game for 10$ on a steam sale and still felt abit ripped off. Overall its decent, but the "dumbed" the game down way to much. I'd suggest picking up the first one over the second.

What it is, is just decent. If you got the extra money and need a game to kill time this can do that. But don't expect to be too "wow'd" ether.

Good for about a day 1
Purely from a multi player perspective. Save your money this isn't worth it.

Having never played the earlier versions i was extremely pleased at first impression with this game. The graphics were great and the the game play was very nice. However after a few hours the game losses all appeal as there is simply not enough content to warrant more time. For starters there is no custom maps to be created or downloaded. This wouldn't be a deal breaker if the game had actually included more then one single eight player map, and a handful of smaller (very small) maps. After two or three multi player games on the games one and only eight player map you will have pretty much seen and used every variations available. Now that i have already played this map a few times any more is the same as watching a replay.

I have only played the one eight player map as the few smaller ones seemed to small to be interesting for anything more than a 15 min rush game.
