Great Controller 5
I've been wanting to buy this GC controller so that i can play Super Smash Brothers Brawl on my Wii and it works perfectly. Not only that but now i can now purchase Wiiware and Virtual Console games that cannot be played by the wiimote alone. As we speak i am playing the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The controller has been marvelous and works great. Of course like many others might have stated in the past the only problem i have with it is the awkward placement of the Z button but other than that everything is fine. I would recommend it to everyone.

3rd Party Gamecube Controller 1
As expected for a 3rd party product, the purchased controller lasted 1 day. I personally recommend to obtain an original controller manufactured by nintendo.

Best Controller for Wii (GC & Virtual Games), Best Also for Gamecube 5
The Wii classic controller is a bit awkward and hard to use. Although it has an advantage of being wireless, you still need to attach it to the Wiimote (where it dangles like the Nunchuk). This is more of an issue when you play older Gamecube games and downloadable virtual games when you need to press a combination of buttons to run and jump at the same time. Too bad, the jump button (on the Wii classic controller) is far from the run button and much smaller than the original design. For these reasons, the original GC controller is still the preferable choice.
I have used other 3rd party controllers and nothing can get close to the original Nintendo controller.

Pros:
- Perfect response. The most annoying thing that some 3rd party controllers are notorious to is snapping back to the opposite direction when you wanted to have your Pacman or Mario guy turn right or left.
- Perfect handgrip
- rumble effect
- Unlike the Nintendo "Wavebird", this is still available.

Cons:
- Wired
- Expensive, as Nintendo has almost abandoned the Gamecube console for Wii and very few are left.

Love the Gamecube Controller 5
Nintendo did an awesome job designing the GameCube controller, I believe. The button placement, for me at least, is very natural, much more so than the Xbox controllers or the Dual Shock controllers. Of course, if you are looking at this you probably already own a GameCube, thus own a controller and have your own opinion.

This is the controller to buy though, you definitely want a Nintendo brand controller. Third party GameCube controllers, from companies other than Nintendo, tend to be lower quality and will not last nearly as long. It may cost a bit more for the Nintendo brand, but the quality is worth it.

Nice Controller!! 5
This controller is excellent, it provides all the buttons and analog sticks (thank God). As other peoples reviews are saying, " I can't reach the Z button, the R and L are in a awkward position." Well, hold the controller right for goodnes sake. Now take my steps on how to hold a controller:

1. Hold your hands out
2. Turn them so the pointer fingers are pointing at each other.
3. Seperate the Thumb and Pointer finger from the three others. (Still using step 2)
4. Curve the three left-out fingers.
5. Put one thumb on the Analog Stick and the other on the A Button.
6. The other pointer fingers should be on the R and L Buttons with a closer click on the Z Button.

Hope it helped!
