Unlock Cheat Mode
NOTE: This involves editing a Windows registry value. Do not even attempt this if you are not familiar with the system registry, or any mistake can and will cause serious problems with your Windows O/S.Run regedit.exe and use Registry/Export Registry File menu command to create a backup copy of your original registry and go to the entry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Computer Artworks/TheThing/1.0
Create a string value by selecting Edit/New/String Value menu option and name the string value after one of the following String Value names and press ENTER.
Effect String Value -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Unlimited health (Player) PlayerInvulnerable Unlimited health NPCs NPCInvulnerable All weapons FullWeaponEquipNext, right click on the String Value entry that you just created, and select Modify. Input a numerical 1 at the Value Data field and press ENTER to validate the code funtion. Exit and save the modified registry.
NOTE: You replace the numerical 1 with a numerical 0 to disable the cheat code. Cheats will work only with a new game; loading a previously saved game will not activate them.
Unlock In-game Save Feature

Create a string value by selecting Edit/New/String Value menu option. Name the string value DoInGameLoadSave and press ENTER. Right click on the newly created entry and select Modify. Input a numerical value of 1 at the Value Data field and press ENTER. Exit and save the modified registry. The Load and Save game options will now appear in the options menu when you press ESC during game play.
NOTE: Do not use the Load Game option in the in-game menu since it may crash the game; load your game from the main menu instead. You can save the game using the in-game menu however.
