Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace Cheats

Cheat Codes

During the game, hit BACKSPACE, type the code in the red box, then hit ENTER. Most of the codes toggle the effect (type it in the first time to enable the effect, repeat it to disable it). Don't type the quotation marks when you enter the codes, but be sure to include any spaces if they're included in the list here.

• "gurshick"
  Displays credits.
• "oldcode"
  Displays the message "Debug 1" the first time and "Debug 2" if you type it again (not sure what exactly happens for either one).
• "happy"
  Displays the message "Open your heart" and makes the #3 weapon fire tank rounds.
• "from above"
  Toggles the top view camera perspective.
• "naughty naughty"
  Toggles the over-the-shoulder camera view.
• "perf"
  Toggles wireframe mode for the level and character models.
• "rex"
  Displays the message "Feel the power of REX" and toggles wireframe mode for the menus.
• "60fps"
  Toggles between displaying 60 and 30 animation frames per second (it doesn't actually speed up your frame rate, it just displays the animation faster)
• "but i feel so good"
  Displays the message "you're the guy with the force" and toggles between Darth Maul's force push and normal force push.
• "perfection"
  Causes Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon Jinn to deflect blaster shots perfectly back at the source.
• "slowmo"
  Enables the "Super Slowmo Mode", goes back to "Normal Mode" if you repeat it.
• "turn tables"
  Makes the jawas on Mos Espa really big.
• "i like to cheat"
  Gives you all the weapons with full ammo if applicable. This only works a few times per game.
• "heal it up" or "give me life"
  Fills up your health to 100% (you can only use it up to 5 times per game).
• "where is gurshick" or just "gurshick"
  View the game's credits.
• "brenando"
  Shows the message "Tech bonus!".
• "i rule the world"
  Raises the difficulty level (equivalent to doing very well in the game).
• "i stink" or "i really stink"
  Lowers the difficulty level (equivalent to doing poorly while playing).
• "fps"
  Displays the frame rate and current screen resolution.
• "donttttt", "rrrrright", or "kill me now"
  Drain all your health.
• "drop a beat"
  Wobble vision.
• "iamqueen"
  Play as the Queen.
• "iamquigon"
  Play as Qui-Gon Jinn.
• "iamobi"
  Play as Obi-Wan.
• "iampanaka"
  Play as Captain Panaka.
• "beyond cinema"
  Toggles letterbox (cinema-style wide screen) mode.

Five Flash Grenades in the Mos Espa Arena

When you start the level go to the left. There you will find three men who will start shooting at you. Kill them. When done killing them, go to the left through a cave. In the cave you will find a Sandcrawler. Kill the Sand People. Through a door to the right, it will look like a gate. Open it. In it is a blaster with 250 rounds, and a R2 unit. It will lead you out of the Sand Crawler. Protect it with your life and it will lead you to 5 Flash Grenades.

Force Field

When you are in the city of Theed and you come across an injured soldier asking for water, do about a 180 turn (turn right behind you) and there will be a piece missing from the banister on the bridge. Jump down from there then go along the path up the stairs and in that room will be a flask of water, health, and a force field, just like the ones the destroyer droids have.

Hidden Health for Final Darth Maul Battle

When you are fighting Darth Maul during the final battle, there is a panel on one of the side walls that doesn't match the pattern of the other ones. Go up to it and press the spacebar and there is a full health power-up available on both sides of the bridge.

Kill Darth Maul Easily

In the final battle there is a much easier way to kill Darth Maul then just hit him with a lightsaber a bunch. Simply get him between you and the pit and continously force push him towards it. He will soon fall in and die.

Sandcrawler

When you first get into the level with the podrace (after you get the parts and find jar jar on mos espa) don't go into the market place yet. Instead, walk out and go to the right. If you keep going there will be some alien men there that will say "get him!!!" Kill them and then in the wall of the canyon you will find a path way. Just follow it through and there will be sandpeople there so you need to kill them. In the sandcrawler you will find health and a blaster.

Switch Characters While Playing

Enter: iamqueen (for the queen), iampanaka for Anikan), iamquigo (for Qui Gon Jin), and iamobi (for O.B.1) to switch your current character.

Trick to beating Darth Maul the first time

The easy way to beat Darth Maul the first time on tatooine is if you have a loaded blaster to start shottng at him while slowly retreating he will eventually give up and run Follow him to the ship and repeat the above steps until the ship lifts off
