NHL Breakaway '98 Cheats

NHL Breakaway '98 cheat codes, tricks, hints, and walk throughs.

Cheat mode

Press C-Left, C-Right, C-Left, C-Right, R (x2) at the main menu. (Note: Cheat mode must be enabled before other cheats can be activated.)

Bonus teams

Quickly press C-Up, L, C-Left at the team selection screen. (A tone confirms correct entry.) Three additional teams will be selectable between "Controller Pack" and "Anaheim teams" options.

Extra points

Press C-Left (x2), C-Right (x2), C-Left (x2), C-Right (x2), R at the season menu.

Hidden players

Enter one of the following names at the player creation screen to unlock hidden players.

Joe Sanders
Todd Dowd
Tony Carbone
Olivia Carbone

Player inspection

Press C-Up, C-Down, C-Left, C-Right at the player creation screen to rotate player in 3D.

Player with perfect attributes

Enter "Jim Jung" as a name at the player creation screen.

Powerful player

Enter "grEEn jeLLo" as a name at the player creation screen.

Remove Opponent's Goalie

To remove your opponent's goalie, enter the following steps below:

Pause game.

Enter game settings menu and choose "Controller Select" option to switch to the other team.

Select "Pull Goalie" option (under "Team Options").

Use "Controller Select" to switch back to the original team. (Note: You will have to reenter code if a goal is made or the period ends.)

Select a team at random

Press L + R at the team selection screen.

Small player with perfect attributes

Enter "Simon Carbone" as a name at the player creation screen.

View all injured players

Press C-Left (x2), C-Right (x2) at the trainer's room. (A tone confirms correct entry.) Press Left or Right to view another team.
