During the sound test play sound effect 62 three times then exit the sound test. On the continue screen rotate the directional pad in a clockwise direction for more continues. You can access a maximum of 30 continues. This code can be repeated unlimited times. Note: Don't try and get more than 99 continues because it will reset at 00.Extended Sound Test
During the sound test there are 17 sounds. If you hold button 2 and press right you can access up to 95 sound effects.Extra Continues

Plug in both controllers. Hold Down-Right on Controller One and Up-Left + Button 1 on Controller Two. Turn on the unit and continue holding these buttons until "R-Type" comes on the screen.Secret Level
